This year's Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count (CBC) will be held on Anna Maria Island and environs on Tuesday, December 28. Your author will participate, as on many prior CBCs.
Preparatory to the count, I plucked this article from a neighboring island's newspaper (Longboat Key, also known as 'environs') for your birding edification.
