As of Friday, September 24, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), has been extended for a year.
With House and Senate votes coming in the past week, the NFIP has extended floor coverage through September 30, 2011.
That's great news for flood-prone areas, including Florida and Anna Maria Island. Here is the news from the National Association of Realtors.
