Once in a while, I get a call from an agent to show a property that's been taken off the market.
I have several of those that are officially off-market right now, but the owners would still like to sell. As a service to those sellers, we'll keep those on the website (if not in MLS) until such time as they definitely decide that a sale is no longer in their future. Sometimes that happens. And sometimes, an owner doesn't want ANY notice that their place is an 'active' listing, but I'm still able to show it to qualified buyers. Either way, I serve their needs and desires.
The last time I showed a 'withdrawn' property I had listed in Holmes Beach, the prospect made an offer. We eventually closed the deal, to mutual benefit. And one time earlier this year, I worked with a buyer who really needed to see a withdrawn listing offered by another firm in the City of Anna Maria. We closed that deal too.
So just in case you don't see what you want, don't hesitate to ask. Sometimes it just takes that extra bit of digging to find the right match.
